Seek out the Good

Do you, like me, get tired of all the negativity in the news? When you flip on the news, any channel, it's mostly crime, conflict, death, etc., etc., etc.. Frankly, that gets old really fast. Not to mention, it can be rather depressing if that's all you see. So today I needed my spirits lifted and I went in search of positive stories.

I initially thought I'd find an uplifting story here and there, but I was wrong. The internet abounds with the positive. I was thrilled to find some websites that were totally devoted to positive stories and then there were many well-known sites that had a section for "good news". I'll note a few sites here for you to check out, but there are many more.

Two websites I came across that post nothing but positive articles were goodnewsnetwork.org and sunnyskyz.com. Then I noticed that huffingtonpost.com and today.com have a category for more uplifting news. It's really not all that difficult to find good news around you if that's what you want. After reading several articles on these sites while investigating, I felt my spirits lifting. So, if you're down in the dumps, pick yourself up and look for some inspiration on the internet.

In my next post, I'll share the first article that caught my eye about a wounded veteran determined to help other veterans.
